We hope you enjoyed a wonderful holiday yesterday, full of fellowship and delicious food. In this season of thanksgiving, we often take time to reflect on what has happened this past year. MFI’s staff sat together before the Thanksgiving break, and we came up with a long list of 2019 victories. This put in perspective how truly blessed we’ve been. We narrowed our list to 3 major wins we’re thankful for that we wanted to share with you:

  1. MFI Defeated Planned Parenthood Sex-ed in the Bluest of Blue States
MFI is the leading voice in the Commonwealth pushing back against Planned Parenthood’s radical sex-ed. Parents and pastors have reached out to MFI for years with concerns about what their children are being exposed to in school. Just this week, our friends at the Daily Signal, the Heritage Foundation’s news platform, publicized our victory in Worcester where nearly 100 concerned citizens showed up at their school committee meeting to oppose PP’s curriculum. The school committee voted against adopting the controversial material that night, and our hope is that allies across the country will employ this same strategy to stop overly-sexualized, anti-abstinence curriculum from being used in their schools. We will continue to oppose this dangerous curriculum in every Massachusetts school that considers, or is already, using it.

  2. MFI Squashed Plans for 65,000 Square Foot Pot Factory in Hamilton
While the above article doesn’t mention MFI’s involvement, MFI was at work behind the scenes! We were contacted by a local resident last year who was concerned about the damage these drugs would do to his community. With our help, citizens were empowered to stand up to the marijuana giant that was attempting to infiltrate their town. Their push back kept the pot factory out, and now the land will be developed into a public park for hiking and farming instead.

  3. MFI Outnumbered Abortion Lobby
You’ve probably heard us mention this before, but this victory is so huge we have to bring it up again. This summer, over 1,000 pro-life advocates came to the State House to oppose the Infanticide Act, outnumbering the Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and ACLU advocates who were present. Beacon Hill heard testimony up until 11 PM that day on why we should never pass radical abortion legislation. Thankfully, the bill is still stuck in committee, and we’re fighting to keep it there.

These victories represent a small fraction of what MFI has accomplished this year. But none of this is possible without your continued support. So while we’re extremely grateful for these wins, what we’re most thankful for this year at MFI is all of you who faithfully support MFI and our mission. Thank you!

Happy Thanksgiving, and we look forward to what’s coming next!
