Washington State was expected to become the seventh state to allow same-sex “marriage” on Wednesday, with the State House expected to give final passage and Gov. Christine Gregoire promising to sign the bill. The measure passed the Senate 28 to 21 last week. Same-sex “marriage” activists have steadily paved the way in Washington for legalization as they have chipped away at the state’s definition of marriage law. In 2006, the Democrat-controlled legislature approved domestic partnerships. An “everything but marriage” bill followed this in 2009. Once Gov. Gregoire signaled her support, full same-sex “marriage” was fast-tracked last month.
