Concert for Life in Cambridge

In Massachusetts, 1 out of every 4 pregnancies end in abortion. There is too much at stake for life-minded Christians to stand by the wayside when there is a real crisis happening in our own backyard. On Friday evening, May 6, at Hope Fellowship Church in Cambridge, MFI will co-host Concert for Life with Daybreak Crisis Pregnancy Center. Join us as we unite in worship and prayer with the Boston Night of Worship team to intercede for individuals at risk for abortion and their unborn babies, and find out what you can do to help. For more information go to www.daybreakpartners.org. United in Christ, united for LIFE.

National Day of Prayer – May 5

On Thursday, May 5, 2011, MFI is joining the National Day of Prayer Task Force for the 60th annual observance of the National Day of Prayer. We will join with government leaders and people in communities all around the country to lift our needs and concerns for America before the Lord. Now more than ever, it is imperative that we as God’s people remain on our knees for our nation and fellow citizens. The critical challenges facing the United States and the culture at large call for faithful, persevering intercession – not only on the National Day of Prayer, but throughout the year.

There are many ways you can get involved:

  • Plan an event in your community
  • Find/Participate in an event in your community
  • Connect with volunteers in your area
  • Request free devotionals
  • Download prayer resources
  • Join the Online Prayer Rally
  • Sign-up for weekly prayer tips via email

Visit www.NationalDayofPrayer.org to learn more. There will be an event at the State House in Boston on May 5. For more details on this and other events around the state, contact Pastor Victor Khokhlan, Massachusetts NDOP Coordinator, at vrkhokhlan@yahoo.com.

PrayerFlight

PrayerFlight is a group of men and women who have joined forces to pray over our cities, states and nation from the unique perspective of flight. On May 5, 2011, the National Day of Prayer, pilots will team up with prayer warriors and physically cover our land with prayer as they fly over all 50 state capitals.

PrayerFlight is still in need of pilots for Massachusetts.  If you are interested, please contact John Sprague, Regional Coordinator for Massachusetts at johnsprague@cox.net or you may register online by following this link to register.
