Friends,

The weather is getting warmer and thoughts of heading to the park, playground and beach are entering our heads, especially with Memorial Day weekend just two days away. Now imagine how those thoughts will change come next year if our opponents are successful in passing the radical “Bathroom Bill” into law?

While Beacon Hill has been rightly committed to the budget and economic issues for most of the year, the bewitching hour for the “Bathroom Bill” is now at hand. In just two weeks, the Judiciary Committee will be hearing testimony once again on the “Bathroom Bill” and the Gardner Auditorium will once again resemble the theater of the absurd.

This is our hour to make certain that the “Bathroom Bill” never sees the light of day as we have done the last two elected sessions ! But to do so, I need you at the State House not once, but twice in the next three weeks to oppose the Bathroom Bill:

  • Wednesday, June 8 – Judiciary Committee Hearing – Come to the State House and testify against the Bathroom Bill. We need people to both testify and simply be there to oppose the bill. CLICK HERE to submit your testimony.
  • Tuesday, June 14 – Lobby Day – We need 100 citizen lobbyists at the State House on Flag Day to meet with legislators on key public policy issues, including the Bathroom Bill, the Maria Talks website, and the pro-life Laura’s Law. CLICK HERE to RSVP for the Lobby Day.

While we are all thinking about summer, the Legislature will be working right through the end of June, and some of what they are working on is alarming. We need to be vigilant and engaged, lest we have laws that infringe on our rights and our values. Again I ask for a few hours of your time on June 8 and June 14 to make a difference at the State House.

MFI has been defending your values and your family on Beacon Hill for 20 years, but we cannot do it alone. Please join us at the State House on June 8 and June 14. If you are unable to come to Boston, please strongly consider a generous tax-deductible donation to work.

For our families,

P.S. As we ramp up our campaign against the Bathroom Bill, we are re-launching www.NoBathroomBill.com. This website features some history on the bill, a full list of sponsors, answers to some frequently asked questions, and a chance to “Take Action.” I invite you to visit the website, and CLICK HERE to share it on Facebook.
