Gov. Deval Patrick, during a meeting of the so-called “Massachusetts Commission on GLBT Youth,” said that he was proud that the Commonwealth “is home to the very first commission of this kind, anywhere in America” but that there is “more work to do.” Interestingly, he said that “all young people deserve the chance to feel welcome and supported in our schools and our communities,” while he supports legislation that singles out certain students for protection to push a radical agenda. We agree with the Governor that all students should be protected from bullying, whether they wear glasses, have red hair or play the trombone.
