Last December, Massachusetts citizens from around the state came together to enjoy a nativity scene at the State House in celebration of the Christmas season.  The Speaker of the House of Representatives had granted permission to celebrate Christmas at the State House with a Nativity Scene.  The request had initially been refused with the standard “no religious events” answer, but thanks to the persistence of Representative Jim Lyons of Andover and attorney Bob Joyce of the Pro-Life Legal Defense Fund, along with a letter from attorney Tom Brejcha of the Thomas More Law Society reminding the bureaucrats of the First Amendment, permission was granted.

This year, we are excited to announce a 2nd Annual Nativity at the State House this week!  Join us Wednesday, December 20 between noon and 4 p.m. for a time of Christmas celebration and cheer at our Commonwealth’s capital building in the Great Hall of Flags.

Pastor Paul Jehle will be leading a one-hour tour of the State House beginning at the Hall of Flags at 1 p.m.  He will focus on how Christianity has influenced the history of Boston and the Bay State.  Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn about our Commonwealth’s history as well as join in a public celebration of Christmas.

Thank you, Rep. Lyons, for sponsoring this event!
