There was great news out of Indiana this week as the voters in the Hoosier State got one step closer to being able to vote on a constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman. The Senate Judiciary Committee, by a margin of 7-3, voted to approve the marriage amendment, sending the measure to the full Senate for a vote. The House has already approved the amendment. If the full Senate approves it, both the House and Senate would need to approve it once more in the next legislative session before it would go to the ballot.
