Monday night, I was invited to participate in a radio interview discussing the Bathroom Bill.  My fellow guests were a transgender activist and a Rutgers law professor (…which means I was outnumbered).

Once again, the fallacy of there being “no reports of any problems” related to cross-gender bathroom use was rolled out to silence my objections to the MA Bathroom Bill.  I was told my concerns about the privacy and safety of women and children were a “red herring.”  I responded by detailing an incident in WA where a man who “identified” as a lesbian was sitting naked in the sauna of a women’s locker room while members of the girls’ high school swim team came in to shower and change.

To help demonstrate what used to be obvious, that women and children deserve privacy in public changing areas, we have added a page to the nobathroombill.com website detailing eleven examples of transgender bathroom abuse.  (The example I gave of the man in the women’s sauna is number 9.)

These incidents aren’t pretty, but we all need to be ready to answer when we’re accused of “scare tactics,” in objecting to the Bathroom Bill.
