On the heels of an eight-vote victory in the Iowa caucuses, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney won the nation’s first presidential primary contest in New Hampshire last night by a comfortable margin. Romney collected nearly 40% of the vote, with Texas Rep. Ron Paul earning about 23% of the vote. Rounding out the top 3 was former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman with about 17% of the vote. Newt Gingrich and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum failed to reach 10%.

The candidates will now turn their attention towards the South Carolina primary that will be held on Saturday, January 21, and the Florida primary on Tuesday, January 31. MFI will provide Massachusetts voters with a comprehensive voter guide to the Republican primary sometime in February before the Massachusetts Presidential Primary Election on Tuesday, March 6.
