A pro-euthanasia organization, Final Exit Network, has purchased billboard space in Boston and plastered it with an anti-life message. The giant billboard in East Boston is black and white and reads “Irreversible Illness? Unbearable suffering? Die With Dignity.” Though the group claims to only offer information, not assistance to people wanting to commit suicide, authorities in Georgia and Arizona have charged members of the group with assisted suicide.

“I think it’s dangerous to put up signs to encourage people to think this is an option,” said Dr. Michael Grodin, a bio-ethicist at Boston University’s School of Public Health. “There’s no right to die. There’s not a right to demand people to help you kill yourself.”

Currently, physician-assisted suicide is illegal in all states except for Washington, Montana and Oregon. Final Exit Network says it believes the so-called “right to die” will become the “ultimate right of the 21st century.”
